Peter Five Months and New Chickies

** The embedded links are slideshows. To see all the pics, click on "view."  I'm trying photobucket now because they offer unlimited free storage! It looks good so far. To download a picture, click on an individual picture and hover over the top left of the pic. You'll see options appear for "file/download." One of the other options is "save to my album," so you could also conceivably save my pics to your own photobucket account.

Some pics of life now. The first album is pics of our new chicks. Jon's making "chicken tractors" for them to live in outside once they're bigger, but for now they all hang out inside. Cute! We should be getting eggs by the fall if all goes well. The fencing pics are Eva "getting in the cage" as Jon and I were stretching out the mesh for the sides of the chicken tractor.

The next is pics of the kids. Peter started eating some cereal. He likes it okay, sometimes more than other times, and so far I haven't noticed a difference in his spitting up. Now he just spits up cereal too. But we'll see. It's only about once a day so far, so maybe it will start to make a difference. Eva's been a big help in the garden now. She can ride her bike around the grass, help us plant seeds, weed, etc. We got her a garden tool bag at Walmart in the Easter section and she loves having a space for her own tools. She gets very dirty outside and loves it!

Also, there are a few videos of Peter. They're not great videos, but I thought you'd all like to see some of his milestones -- namely, laughing and rolling over!

Video: Peter has things to say. And here are some pics from the last month, up to Peter's four-month pics. He's been pretty sad since his shots yesterday, so it was actually hard to get cheerful pics with his four-month sign. Hopefully he'll be back to his normal cheerful self soon. At his four-month checkup he was 15 pounds (50%), 24" long (25%). He also rolled over twice yesterday morning just before we left for the doctor. Guess he figured he was old enough to learn something new. Meanwhile, Eva has learned the joys :-( of not napping...

The year so far in videos

The year so far (ha!) in videos...

Peter waking up happy (he says "hi"):

Eva driving on Peter (poor guy):

Next, we do a lot of this around here: cooking cars and fussing. Oh well! When Jon's home, Eva races her cars. But when he's not here, she mostly cooks and packs them. They mostly drive to McDonald's and park. And sometimes get time outs.

Last, Eva cooking actual (play) food this time and shopping. And talking stream of consciousness ALL THE TIME! :-) Two videos...

Peter three-month pics

Here are pictures from the last month. Peter's getting happier, but it's still hard to capture his fleeting smiles on camera! And Eva's just a grump these days when the camera comes out, so it's almost more difficult to get pictures of her. Sigh...it's just a phase!

Peter Three Month Pics

Here's how to download pictures from Flickr:
  • Click on the picture you want to download.
  • Click on the "Actions" menu on the top left of the picture.
  • Select "View all sizes."
  • From there, select the size you'd like to download.
Not sure how to go about batch downloading, but could look that up later if anyone needs it.

Christmas pics

http://www.flickr.com/photos/aloradanen/sets/72157628567118461/

Here's our pics from Christmas. Peter slept most of the morning while Eva opened her gifts and his and wanted to open ours too. But she had a lot of fun. She's mostly been playing tea with her Ariel doll from Bop and GG or moving/organizing/carrying all her toys around in bags. Sigh...

Love to everyone!

Evangeline's Christmas Dance

Evangeline's interpretive dance to Christmas songs both cheerful and melancholy. 'Tis the season. Merry Christmas, everyone!
