Evangeline helping mommy paint a mini. When she says "minis" it sounds like "babies." Evangeline knows the plastic mini we gave her is not near as fun as the fragile metal ones mom and dad get.

Like all youth, Evangeline takes an apparently popular trend of her parents' generation (mommy wearing a hairband on her wrist) and takes it to a faddish and probably ironic extreme.

Evangeline eating dinner

This is a typical dinner these days - lots of blowing on food, holding onto her favorite toy (in this case, her cell phone), and degenerating into whining for food from the grown-ups' plates even though hers is the same. Sigh. I'd gotten the camera to record her as she'd been talking on the phone while eating, but she stopped doing that once I had the camera out...
